Things to Do:

There’s a lot to do in Flagler Beach, here are some of our favorites:

Flagler Beach’s beach parks include the Flagler Beach Municipal Pier, Varn Park (pet friendly), Beverly Beach (pet friendly), and Flagler Beach North and Flagler Beach South (both pet friendly).

Surfing at the Pier is a favorite pastime for many local residents.

Flagler Beach’s local golf course is Ocean Palm Golf Club. Neighboring city, Palm Coast, has many more offerings only a short drive away

Bulow Creek Paddling Trail is a trip back into Florida history as well as an opportunity to explore a coastal marsh. The put-in is at the Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park. This site is a relic of the early 1800s when a number of sugar plantations dotted the Florida Atlantic coast. These plantations were burned and abandoned during the Second Seminole War.

It’s not only about the beach. Flagler Beach has two state parks: Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park and Gamble Rodgers Memorial State Recreation Area.

Fisherman’s Paradise! Some of the most beautiful wetlands and marsh in Florida can be seen while fishing in Flagler Beach. From surf fishing, to pier fishing, to taking a boat or kayak into the Intracoastal Waterway, the area offers countless numbers of species to fish. Of course the redfish is the main attraction with trout, flounder, tarpon, and even an occasional snook, accounting for some exciting fishing pictures as well.

Take a trip back in time at the Florida Beach Historical Museum, with collections ranging from pre-historic, Native American and colonial plantation artifacts, to images and items from the town’s roaring 1920’s and World War II encounters with German submarines. The Recent History displays feature local surfing legends, severe weather events, and critters and creatures that have paid us a visit.

Hang out in town and explore the retro town with salty style. Friendly residents and open-air restaurants set the stage for a laid-back afternoon while enjoying a six-mile-plus stretch of spectacular ocean views – with free access to the beach. Gaze at the ocean from rooftop cafes while listening to the music of local musicians. The natural island environment is still a secret to many, but once you put your feet in the sand of Flagler Beach, you’ll feel like a native.

Feel the wind in your hair as you go for a scenic stroll or a challenging ride on the hiking and biking trails in the area. The area has more than 125 miles of hiking and biking trails that offer everything from water views and lush natural vegetation to heart-pumping climbs and descents.
